Hot on the
heals of directing KidzAmerica with Tifany Evans at the 2003 US
Open, New Jersey composer/producer Edward Kessel stands proud to
have his inspirational ballad, "Voice of Freedom," performed
live on the USS Intrepid September 6th, honoring Search & Rescue
Teams. Captain Scott Shield's famous dog "Bear" is one
of the honoree's of Search and Rescue Dog Day. This famous golden
retriever worked his way into the hearts of all, as he bravely went
through the rubble at Ground Zero finding more victims than any
other canine. Sadly, Bear passed away one year later from cancer.
Kessel's song was inspired by the heroism and patriotism shown by
all Americans after the tragedies of September 11th. He is proud
"Voice of Freedom" has been chosen to commemorate the
brave Search and Rescue teams and their canines, who were fearless
in dedicating their lives to unselfishly aiding others during America's
darkest days. "Voice of Freedom" shall be performed by
NJ native Nancy Coletti in memory of her cousin Vincent Difazio
who lost his life in the WTC disaster.
Kessel's world of sound includes working with such greats as Tony
Bennet, Steven Spielberg, and for corporations such as AT& T,
Virgin Atlantic, and Macy's. From Broadway scores to television
themes, Ed has a song in his heart and the imagination to please
audiences of all ages. He has just been engaged by RaRu Stone to
compose a theme song for a revolutionary interactive pre school
series, "The Adventures of Max Magic", slated for the
2004 season.
Portions of the proceeds from "Voice of Freedom" CD
sales shall be donated to The Bear Search and Rescue Foundation.
